The Children's Church Ministry began May 3, 2015 under the leadership of Pastor Michael Fullard. His vision is to introduce and teach the Word of God to our children in an effort that they may be saved. As Christian believers, it our duty to train the children in the way they should go so that they will not depart from it when they are older.   ~ Proverbs 22:6

Mission:

The Unity Missionary Baptist Church is committed to teaching our children how to follow Jesus Christ, dedicated to teaching our future community an spiritual leaders the Word of God, and most importantly, teaching them how to love as God loves us.

Leaders are required to:

• Follow the curriculum as outlined for the Children's Church Ministry
• Be prepared to carry out the lesson plan on their assigned Sunday
• Teach our children with a positive attitude
• Set positive examples for the children to participate in praise and worship
• Be diligent and dedicated to this task during the church service
• Make the needs of the children a priority
  

As a Member and Leader of the UMBC, Leaders will:

• Worship with the Unity Church Family outside of Children's Church
• Attend and participate in Sunday School and weekly Bible Study group within the church
• Keep the Pastor/First Lady informed of all activities
• Ensure that the children are participating in activities of the UMBC
• Encourage the children to participate in the UMBC Children's Church Ministry
  

The Order of Service outlined for the Children's Church Ministry follows:

• The Pledge to the Bible
• Prayer (Leader or child)
• Scripture for the Lesson
• Meaning & Purpose
• Discussion/Questions
• Closing Prayer (Leader or Child)
• Handouts are provided for the parents in an effort to keep them aware of the lessons prepared for the childrenLessons have been taught on the Our Father's Prayer - What is Prayer, People of the Bible, Books of the Bible, Scriptures, Things I Know About the Bible, Things to Remember When You Pray, and the list goes on. We are both excited and proud of the growth in children and the leaders of our Children's Church Ministry.
